# Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data www.aimrank.io collects, why, who else handles it and what rights you have. It covers this website only. The site has no user accounts.

## The short version

- We learn who you are only if you send us a form, write in the chat or email us.
- Our analytics (Plausible) uses no cookies and shows us totals, not individual visitors.
- LinkedIn's Insight Tag loads only if you click Accept. You can change that at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
- The chat loads only after you click the chat button. From then on it also loads on later pages.
- We use your form details to reply to you. We send updates only if you tick the box asking for them.

## Who we are

MB Aimrank Tech, trading as AimRank Labs, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy: we decide how and why it is used.

## When you send us a form

Our forms (booking a consultation, requesting a build, requesting access to a product, getting product updates) ask for your email address. You can also add a message, and some forms ask for your company name. Both are optional.

With what you type, the form also sends: the product, build or tier you asked about, which form you used, the language of the page, whether you ticked the box for updates and, if you came through a partner's link, that partner's code.

This goes over an encrypted connection to our form endpoint, which runs on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1). The endpoint passes it to Omnisend, where we keep our contact list, and may also copy it to our prospect tracker in Notion so we can follow up.

We use these details to reply to you and handle your request. You do not have to give us anything, but without an email address we cannot reply.

## Updates by email

Our forms have an unticked box for occasional product updates. If you leave it unticked, Omnisend stores you as a contact we can reply to but not send marketing emails to. If you tick it, you are added as a subscriber. We record which you chose and when.

You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in our emails or by writing to [info@aimrank.io](mailto:info@aimrank.io).

## Analytics

We count visits with Plausible Analytics, an EU-based service. Plausible uses no cookies. It shows us totals such as page views, referring websites, browser, device type and country, not individual visitors.

## LinkedIn Insight Tag

With your permission, we use LinkedIn's Insight Tag to understand which companies read our site. On your first visit a banner asks you to Accept or Decline. Nothing from LinkedIn loads unless you click Accept.

If you accept, a script loads from LinkedIn, sets LinkedIn cookies and sends LinkedIn information about your visit, such as the page address, your browser and your IP address. LinkedIn uses this under its own privacy policy and shows us aggregated reports, not who you are.

We keep your choice in your browser's local storage as `aimrank-li-consent`, so we do not ask on every page. You can change it or withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing stops the tag and deletes the LinkedIn cookies stored under our domain. Cookies LinkedIn keeps on its own domain are managed in your browser or on LinkedIn.

## Chat

The chat button in the corner of each page is part of our site. Nothing loads from the chat provider until you click it. Then your browser loads the chat from SaleSnail (salesnail.io), and SaleSnail receives the usual technical details of a web request, such as your IP address and browser, plus anything you type in the chat.

Replies in the chat come from an AI assistant set up with information about our services, and the chat tells you so. Our team can read the conversation and may also reply. Please do not share sensitive personal data there. If you give your email address or phone number in the chat so we can contact you, we treat it like a form enquiry.

Once loaded, SaleSnail keeps a visitor identifier and the list of your conversations in your browser's local storage, and may set a cookie on its own domain, so your conversations carry on across pages and visits. After your first click we also keep `aimrank.chat.opened` in your browser's local storage, so the chat loads straight away on later pages. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes these items; the SaleSnail cookie is cleared through your browser's cookie settings.

## Partner links

If you arrive through a partner's link (an address with ?ref= or ?via= and a code), we keep that code, the time and the page you landed on in your browser's local storage as `aimrank-ref` for 90 days. If you then send a form, the code goes with it so we can credit the partner. The code identifies the partner, not you.

## Cookies and storage on your device

Our site sets no cookies of its own. It keeps these items in your browser's local storage:

- **`aimrank-li-consent`:** your Accept or Decline choice for LinkedIn.
- **`aimrank.chat.opened`:** that you have opened the chat.
- **`aimrank-ref`:** a partner's code, for 90 days.
- **`consultation_submitted`:** that you sent the intro call form, so the form shows your request as sent.

LinkedIn's cookies are set only after you click Accept. After you click the chat button, SaleSnail's script keeps its own items in local storage (names starting with `salesnail.`): a visitor identifier, your conversation list and what you have read. It may also set a cookie on SaleSnail's domain. Plausible uses no cookies.

## Hosting and server logs

The site is stored on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Frankfurt) and delivered through Amazon CloudFront, a network with servers around the world, so your request may be answered by the server nearest to you, which can be outside the EU. Like any web server, these services process your IP address, browser details and the page you asked for in order to deliver it.

Technical logs from the hosting and from our form endpoint are kept in AWS under its default settings.

## If you email us

If you write to [info@aimrank.io](mailto:info@aimrank.io), we use your message and address to reply and keep the correspondence in our business mailbox.

## Why we are allowed to use your data

- **Replying to your enquiry (form, chat or email):** steps you asked for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- **Updates by email:** your consent, given by ticking the box (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- **LinkedIn Insight Tag:** your consent, given by clicking Accept (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- **Cookieless analytics:** our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, without identifying you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- **Partner codes:** our legitimate interest in crediting partners who refer business to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- **Hosting and logs:** our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

## Who else handles your data

- **Amazon Web Services:** hosts the site and runs our form endpoint.
- **Omnisend:** keeps our contact list and sends our emails.
- **Notion Labs:** our prospect tracker, where we may copy form enquiries. Notion Labs is based in the United States.
- **Plausible Analytics:** cookieless visit statistics, based in the EU.
- **LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company):** the Insight Tag, only if you click Accept.
- **SaleSnail:** the chat, only after you click the chat button.

We share data with these providers only for the purposes above. LinkedIn also uses Insight Tag data for its own purposes, under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

## Transfers outside the EU

Some providers are based outside the European Economic Area, such as Notion Labs in the United States, and CloudFront may serve you from outside the EU. Where personal data leaves the EEA, the transfer relies on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

## How long we keep it

- **Enquiries (forms, chat and email):** up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a contract follows, in which case we keep them as long as that contract and the law require.
- **Marketing contacts:** until you unsubscribe.
- **Server and form endpoint logs:** for 90 days, then deleted automatically.
- **Items in your browser:** `aimrank-ref` expires after 90 days. The others stay until you clear this site's data in your browser.

## Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

- access the data we hold about you
- have wrong data corrected
- have your data erased
- restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it, including use based on legitimate interest and direct marketing
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it

Write to [info@aimrank.io](mailto:info@aimrank.io). We will answer within one month.

If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Lithuanian supervisory authority, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, VDAI): [vdai.lrv.lt](https://vdai.lrv.lt). You can also complain to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.

## Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by purely automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

## Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not aimed at children.

## Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
